Soil Survey and Clasification

We have completed hundreds of pre-disturbance soil surveys for wellsites and associated facilities, and thousands of kilometers of soil survey on proposed pipelines, in addition to other proposed industrial developments.

Our experience also includes large-scale baseline soil surveys for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), and intensive soil survey programs for major projects under EPEA Approval to assist with soil salvage planning activities.

We have conducted surveys for the following purposes:

• To evaluate soil capability and soil quality;
• To develop conservation and reclamation plans;
• To assess soil and organic (peat) volume for soil salvage planning on small to large scale projects;
• To fulfill the soil component of EIAs;
• To assess soil pre- and post- reclamation; and,
• To assess problem sites and identify mitigative measures.
